Bakery-Style Mini Pizzas
Ingredients at a glance
Soft, flavorful, and absolutely irresistible: these bakery-style mini pizzas are the ultimate comfort food. Imagine a cloud-like dough topped with rich tomato sauce and a drizzle of olive oil, transporting you straight back to the authentic flavors of a classic Italian childhood snack. Their unique texture—featuring a slightly crispy bottom and a melt-in-your-mouth center—makes them an impossible temptation to resist. Be sure to make plenty, because they’ll disappear in a heartbeat!
Method
Step 1: Mixing
In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the flour, water, and yeast.
Step 2: Adding Salt
Once the flour has fully absorbed the water, add the salt and continue kneading until you can no longer feel the granules between your fingers.
Step 3: Incorporating Oil
At this point, add the olive oil and continue working the dough until it is smooth and elastic.
Step 4: First Rise
Once the dough has formed, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it rest until it has doubled in size.
Step 5: Shaping
Once the dough has risen, weigh it and divide it into 4 equal balls.
Step 6: Stretching and Topping
Stretch each ball by hand into your desired shape, then top as you like. I’ve gone with the classics: just tomato and mozzarella.
Step 7: Second Rise
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) in static mode. While the oven heats up, cover your pizzas with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise a second time.
Step 8: Baking
Once the oven is ready, bake the pizzas for 25-30 minutes. They are done when the crust reaches a beautiful golden-brown color!
